Father's Day at the West Seattle Market with Chef Jacob Wiegner
One of the enjoyable aspects of our summer is the ability to shop at the outdoor food markets. West Seattle's year round market is a joy with their selection of produce and fun events.
Master Chef Jacob Wiegner will be teaching how to grill summer veggies, fruits and meats on Father's Day. This is perfect information to match with the wonderful local foods we can purchase. He will share yummy ideas and free recipes.
There will be a FREE drawing on June 19 for a free Weber grill!! Anyone who shops the market on Father's Day can enter to win at the market info tent. Another draw for me is the Husky Deli ice cream that will be free in honor of Father's Day sponsored by Husky and berry farmers.

Chef Jacob Wiegner trained at Le Cordon-Bleu London, worked in top kitchens in London and Florida, and has spent the past two years as sous-chef at Olivar on Capitol Hill. He now has his own 40-seat restaurant, Blackboard Bistro, on California Ave SW in West Seattle. The emphasis, Wiegner says, is a nostalgic nod to the chef's past, prepared with fresh Northwest ingredients.
