Subscribe to GayZette via email

How to Subscribe to receive the GayZette to the email(s) of your choice:

*Oh Happy Gay's are here! You can easily subscribe to receive email updates.  This will deliver the portion that is affectionately referred to as the 'GayZette'.

Simply follow the yellow dotted square in the first left hand column and:

• put your email address in the little box located in the left maroon column titled 'Subscribe to receive the GayZette blog via email'. 
• follow the directions on the verification subscription page which helps prevent spam.
• Log into your email account at the address you provided, 
• locate the email titled 'Time Sensitive' and follow the directions in the email
  
• follow the link to verify your address and 
• waa la, ka bing you have set up email updates for the GayZette blog!                                      
  

The subscription email expires within 3 days of submitting.  If it has expired and the link no longer works, just resubmit your email address OR email me and I will happily do this for you.

Now...to be completely honest...you will not receive entire articles to your email unless they are short but instead teasers to whet your appetite.  You can click on the Title of the article or the name of the blog to finish reading the specific article you are interested in.  Visiting our website will have merit and I am not talking boy scouts here as there will always be something different and fun to view by coming back to the web as Ms T loves to change things up for you.

Emails, RSS and Blog is Public

I am so excited that I solved the problems that had been keeping me up at night with this blog!  Private blogs can't have subscribers or feeds read, big duh!  Another reason to have made the blog public.  The "read more" was making my right side column slide under the middle column...undo the code and reedit 25 posts, wa la...fixed.  Now we can proceed!

The good news is that if you signed up for emails you are going to receive the teasers for ALL the posts I have written since the GayZette blog portion started (25 all at once).  Opps, so sorry but this is unavoidable as FeedBurner will see them as one little ole feed to send.  The bad news is that you have already received ALL the posts at once.  This should NOT happen again as we are now caught up.

You can click on each ARTICLE TITLE and it will bring you to http://seattleannouncements.blogspot.com/ to finish reading it.  You may get a notice that you are entering an adult site. 

My hypothesis is that normally, you will receive one email a day with each post I have written in it.  We will see what it looks like together.  Feedburner only sends out 1x a day and I pre-select the time. 

The folks that have signed for RSS feeds to your Reader accounts should see content almost immediately when I write and publish a post.  I can already see the posts and it is very exciting.

You can email me from each post and do other things listed at the bottom of each post too.  Please note...I will not place my email address on the site to avoid spammers that use techy search engines to spam email addresses.

FAQ's on how to subscribe to email

I have finally figured out how to get the little ole GayZette to your in-box!  I will be continuing to add, add and add features as I learn how to do so.  I again stayed up until 6 AM figuring out how to do this.  My new lover is called blog, Ms Blog to you.


Q: How to receive GayZette by email?

A:  First, what you will receive is the portion that I write!  I consider it the "blog content".  It may have a more official name but for now that is what I will call it.  This is very easy squeezy!

• Locate the "Subscribe to receive GayZette blog via email" 
• Enter the email address you want to receive the GayZette to.
• Click the Subscribe button.
• Log into the email address you used to subscribe.
• Find the email FROM:  "FeedBurner Email Subscriptions" with SUBJECT:  "Activate your Email Subscription to: Seattle Announcements, a NewsCalendar for the Real HouseDykes of the Emerald City".
• Open email, read it-lol, and click on the link provided (or paste it in your browser as instructed).
• Once you click on the link you will be taken to a screen with:
  

Email Subscription Confirmed!
A message will be delivered to YOUR ADDRESS if the publisher has produced new content on that day. No new content, no email for you.

Update 11/7/2009 After a week of pulling my hair out trying to figure out why emails were not going out to my subscribers I realized that private blogs could not use this feature. Problems are now solved as of 11/7 blog is public for my readers ease of use.
