We've got Talent! Neighbors on Jan 31st will prove it!

American Idol was wrongo-dongo saying Seattle was talentless and Neighbours Nightclub in Seattle will be hosting a ONE NIGHT ONLY event to prove that YOU HAVE TALENT. That's Right. Not only is there a $100 CASH PRIZE or MORE! The show is open to all performers of all kinds. Singers, Dancers, Bellydancers, Groups, Soloists, Jugglers, Drag Queens, Drag Kings, Comedians. Anything that falls under a TALENT will be in the show! This is gonna be a HUGE Smash Hit!

Here is how it will work:
On Sunday, January 31st, 2010 Neighbours Nightclub (1509 Broadway - Enter in the Alley) will open its doors at 7pm for 'Seattle's Got Talent!' there is a $5.00 Cover. Upon paying that you will recieve ONE vote. The Contestant Sign ups are on a First Come-First Served Basis. They will only have 10 slots open, So get there early! There will be a standby list for those who wish to wait and see if there is enough time to get into the competition.

Then what will happen is there will be a panel of judges introduced. These judges will watch the contestants perform and tell them if they are in or if they are out. Then there will be a very short break. The contestants chosen to move forward will then compete in front of the judges. As this occurs, you the audience will be able to vote for your favorite talent. You may also purchase additional votes after the break for $2.00 per vote. (this will go towards the cash prize). Then at the end of the evening, the votes will be tallied and totalled together with the judges scores to determine who will be Seattle's Most Talented performer.

The show will feature three special guest judges. One of which you may remember for a previous show at Neighbours known as Seattle Drag Idol. Madonna Sing Along - Yes, it is true

MADONNA SING ALONG  Friday January 8 @ 9:30 at the Central Cinema.  Beer, Wine, and Good Food available at all shows, brought to your table in the theater (WOW, who can beat that service?). Late shows are reserved for 21+ only.   Now that David Schmader has graced our screen with his exploration of Madonna's most atrocious movie performances, we at the Action Pack thought it was time to honor the original material girl for that which she does best - sing and dance in ground-breaking music videos!

So, strike a pose, thank your lucky stars, tell your papa not to preach, get into the groove, and come celebrate half a century of MADONNA - with our usual array of sing along subtitles and dance party fun!

Come to a cool theatre and wear your favorite Madonna do (ok, you don't have to go that far).  This is the year for fun.  Ms T

MONTY PYTHON
AND THE HOLY GRAIL
Quote Along!
Tickets $8
Who hasn't found themselves quoting Monty Python's comedy classic at some point or another (or maybe even every day) of his/her life? Come on now, be honest. Yeah, that's what we thought. That's exactly why you need to come to this show and shout out line after classic line along with an audience of fellow devotees.

And just in case your Python quoting skills are little rusty or somehow you've never seen the movie, don't worry. We'll have subtitles on screen for all the best bits to help everybody out (and so you don't forget your favorite color).

Plus, every audience member gets their own lovely set of coconuts!

THE ROOM
 Tickets $6
Called 'The Citizen Kane of bad movies', THE ROOM has become the biggest cult movie craze since Rocky Horror. The film's so-amazingly-bad-it's-'effing-great charms have helped make hardcore fans out of the likes of Paul Rudd, David Cross, Kristen Bell and Jonah Hill.

THE ROOM's director, producer and leading man is the mysterious Tommy Wiseau. In the film, Tommy portrays 'Johnny', a man who becomes involved in a love triangle when the woman he loves begins sleeping with another man. Johnny is also the mentor of a drug dealing man child, a dog aficionado and possesses an alarmingly unnerving giggle.
Central Cinema is proud to present it in all its baffling glory.

Laughing Ladies Cafe In Shoreline and Mill Creek

Laughing Ladies in Shoreline does more than make a mean cup of coffee and provide a good place for folks to land during the day.  They also offer a evening assortment of music and comedy on select nights to make one laugh and tap your feet.  The Seattle Announcements Calendar is updated with their Friday, Saturday, Tuesday night gigs and occasional Sunday afternoon offerings and I will have more events listed as I receive them.  They offer 2 locations and do things a bit different at each spot.

I have enclosed their contact information as well as a cute ad I found on Craig's List.  They are now on our Resource Guide under "Book Stores, Coffee Houses", so check them out.  Supporting queer owned businesses is something I think we all like to do.  Of course, in these economic times it helps if the service and food are good.  I will be featuring a number of businesses that have 'out' owners and they will be moved to the Resource List on the sidebars.  As a community we can grow stronger together.  I did not write the post below..the Laughing Ladies did.  Ms T
