Red Dress Party
This Saturday November 21st is Seattle's 2nd Annual Red Dress Party. This is a party that has taken place in other cities but is newer to our lovely town. I have some sweet friends that went last year and had a blast. The boys, girls and bois all wear Red Dresses...yes...even the butchest of the butchest do their part and find their campy elegant version of a Red Dress to bring the evening together for a heartfelt cause.
They sold out last year and the VIP tickets are sold out already. General admission will sell out this year. I want to talk my honey into escorting me to this event but...bet I will be going stag with friends - ROFL and that will not be a surprise to any of you that know us. I would "owe" I don't know what to get this escort to this event. If you see me about town in an odd costume or perhaps partially naked you will know I got my escort.

While the color red is commonly accepted as the international symbol of AIDS awareness, the Red Dress Party builds on that idea that all guests, despite age, gender or sexual orientation, attend the event wearing a red dress. The visual of all attendees donning red dresses whether male, female, gay, straight, old or young, serves as a powerful symbol of solidarity of people living with HIV/AIDS and also reminds us that we are all here to make a difference and support a common cause.
