GSBA Annual LGBT Candidate Forum on Friday September 23rd

Friday September 23rd you have the opportunity to participate in the GSBA Annual LGBT Candidate Forum.  It will be held at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel from 11:30am - 1:30pm.  You can register at: www.thegsba.org with the cost:

It’s time for GSBA's Annual LGBT Candidate Forum, the only LGBT candidate forum in our region. Come early to meet the candidates and to hear first hand how these candidates respond to issues of concern to our community. This is our time to have our voices heard around LGBT and business issues.

This year's featured races will include some of the most contested and important races for our community. In addition to the races being covered, there will be a number of other candidates present who you can meet during registration. Initiative representatives will be present to answer your questions as well.

Anne Levinson, will be our moderator for the Candidate Forum. She is a former Deputy Mayor, Retired Judge, founding owner of Force 10 Hoops, Seattle Storm; a 2007 GSBA Collaboration for Social Change Awardee Chair of Approve R71 and the current Independent Auditor, SPD Office of Professional Accountability.

GSBA Stoli TASTEful Cocktail Contest and Kick Off Event September 15th

The GSBA has a number of different events in our community to support our businesses.  There are having a party on Wednesday that will be an affair that those that enjoy a bit of the cocktail will enjoy!  You have the opportunity to vote on cocktail, bartender and decor among 12 contenders listed in the body of this post.  Ms T.

Socialize on the Eastside with GSBA members on Tuesday May 4th

Women at the Top GSBA Event Seattle Women's Chorus April 15, 2010

Please join us for GSBA's Womena at the Top's April's Meeting, on Thursday April 15th at 5:30pm hosted by Columbia Tower Club with the wonderful Seattle Women's Chorus is the highlighted non-profit this quarter. 

The Seattle Women's Chorus concerts have wowed audiences and the Sensible Shoes ensemble is immensely entertaining. They perform in Seattle and also brings its concerts to other parts of the state and country as part of its activism to promote LGBT equality and touch hearts and minds through music. Come learn more about the Seattle Women’s Chorus and meet some of the women who share their voices with the community.

To celebrate the amazing leadership of our women members, we hold a quarterly Women at the Top cocktail hours. Each Women at the Top Cocktail Hour we invite a community leader from a nonprofit that serves women to give a overview of what they do and how we can participate.

Sign Language Interpreters Available at ALL GSBA Events!
Interpreter Services for the deaf and hard of hearing will be available at all GSBA events, beginning April 1. To request a Sign Language Interpreter or other accommodations, please register for the event and request interpreter services no later than two weeks prior to the event. Registration can be completed online at http://www.thegsba.org, or by contacting the GSBA office at (206) 363-9188. GSBA members can communicate with deaf or hard of hearing individuals by using the relay service. To access the relay service simply dial 711 and an operator will come on the line and explain to you how to use the relay service and will place your call for you.

GSBA Women at the Top

One of our fabulous members brought this event to my attention.  I think GSBA has picked a great way to introduce us to some wonderful women in leadership positions in our community and highlight great work our non-profits are doing.  On SeaAnnCal Ms T
GSBA Women at the Top

2010 starts another GSBA Program Year introducing our 2010 Women at the Top Mixers.  To celebrate the amazing leadership of our women members, we will hold a quarterly Women at the Top cocktail party. This event will be held at a fun venue and at each Women at the Top Cocktail Hour we will invite a community leader from a nonprofit that serves women to give a overview of what they do and how we can participate.

To kickoff 2010, our first Women at the Top will be on January 28th at the top of the Renaissance Hotel in their Visions Room. Our guest will be Barbara bg Nabors-Glass from Seattle Goodwill. bg is a dynamic leader in our community and we are thrilled she is starting off our series. And, the Visions Room is gorgeous with a 180 degree view. Join us and bring friends to our first Women at the Top.

Please bring books to donate to Seattle Goodwill if you would like.
