Queen of the Sun - begins today at Northwest Film Forum

Queen of the Sun was the film that enlightened me to the plight of the bee crisis at the last film festival I attended in Seattle.  It was truly a fabulous film with an incredible musical score that matched the mood and scenery composed and played by Jami Sieber, a Seattle area Electric & Acoustic Cellist, Vocalist and Composer.

Jami's depth as a performer is only matched by her life-long commitment to the environment and matters of social justice.  She believes in the interconnectedness of all beings and has a rich history of supporting causes that are near and dear to her heart.  If you can take time to see this film, it will be time well spent!  Ms T.

QUEEN OF THE SUN: What Are the Bees Telling Us? is a profound, alternative look at the global bee crisis from Taggart Siegel, director of THE REAL DIRT ON FARMER JOHN. Taking us on a journey through the catastrophic disappearance of bees and the mysterious world of the beehive, this engaging and ultimately uplifting film weaves an unusual and dramatic story of the heartfelt struggles of beekeepers, scientists and philosophers from around the world including Michael Pollan, Gunther Hauk and Vandana Shiva. Together they reveal both the problems and the solutions in renewing a culture in balance with nature.

Autumn Needles at Wild at Heart, March 13th reading from her Yogic Bliss and Sexual Healing fabulous book

At the last Rainbow Health Fair we were honored to have Autumn Needles read from her newly released book Yogic Bliss and Sexual Healing.  At the beginning of the reading I could tell that the circle of women did not quite know what to expect and soon we were laughing, relaxed and yes...a bit flushed.  The room got hot very fast and in no time we were bonding like old friends over stories shared with a familiar theme.

Autumn has an incredible way with describing sexual experiences that I believe are often thought about but kept closeted.  She is frank, edgy with a twist of humor that keeps the spirit light.  A true delight to listen to and be a part of.  It was indeed an exciting read and I felt honored to be at her first reading.  I hope many of you will be able to attend this FREE event.  (Don't forget it is the beginning of Daylight Savings).
